He loves helping out his family and friends, and will stop at nothing to make them happy. If they’re happy, he’s happy, it’s just that simple. He's childishly simple, and will do something totally out of the blue and just so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh. The funniest thing about it, is that half the time, he's not trying to be childish, or super simple, it's just the way his thought process works. It sometimes tends to frustrate the people around him, even as they can't help but be surprised by some of the things he says. Even people that have known him for years may be surprised by what he says or does. Something to note: he’s not one to make up lies to make someone happy. His mouth tends to speak before his mind can process what he’s going to say and so if you’re looking for someone to lie to you, Leo’s not the man you’re looking for. FUN-LOVING He loves to have fun. Really. He’d do anything for a laugh, including prank his brothers, and he can be just flat out silly sometimes. okay, he's like that most of the time, but it's only intentional half the time. he loves surprises, but he loves giving them more. He's thoughtful, so it's totally normal if he shows up randomly with flowers or something. Be careful. If you don't like surprises, Leo's not really someone to be around. Surprises are fun. Amusement parks are fun. Pranks are fun. Leo is fun. Got it? Good. DIPSTICK No, seriously. Leo's pretty dumb. he mixes up words like Genes and Jeans, and he can't for the life of him remember a word that has over 5 letters. Oddly enough, he can be pretty smart when he's angry. Not sure what that is, it just happened that way. he'll jump down someone's throat if he finds out they've been messing with anyone he cares about, be warned. He hates when people do that, and just for your reference, I'd keep in mind that at the top of the list of people he cares about is one Katherine Tara Maddox, and his daughter Koraline. He doesn't play around when it comes to them, Also, don't be surprised if leo says something that leaves you scratching or shaking your head. it's happened to me before. LACK OF FOCUS leo can't seem focus on anything one thing for a long period of time. he just has issues with it. he's only found one thing that he has no problem focusing on, and that one thing would be sports. He absolutely loves them, and can coach or play any sport. Any. Rugby, football, soccer, baseball, Ultimate Frisbee. You name it, he's probably played it at one time or another. So, sports are the one definite thing he can focus on for a long time. Anything else and you should probably just forget about it. HISTORY MOTHER bella scarlet labeau FATHER gabriel ----- labeau BROTHERS alexandre gavin labeau, thomas cameron labeau, xavier don labeau SISTERS jaiden annabelle labeau PETS N/A OTHER N/A THE STORY Leon Garner Labeau was born into a small Cajun family. It nearly doubled in size later on, but in the beginning, it was just himself, his mom and dad, and his older brother Alexandre. He had a very happy childhood, one filled with all the love and laughter in the world. He was the child that always wanted to be outside, no matter what the weather was. All he wanted to do was play sports. When he was about two, the Labeau family gained two new members, another brother, Thomas, and a sister, Jaiden. Leon connected with his sister almost immediately, and she with him. She was always following him around and would try to sneak off with him whenever he went somewhere. He loved being a big brother, and having a sibling look up to him, well, it’s what kept him on the straight and narrow. Alexandre did help with that a lot though, making sure to help his mom before the others came along. It was during his Junior year of high school that Leon’s world fell apart. His dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, and not a week after that, his mother just walked out, leaving a sick man in the hospital to take care of 5 kids. Alexandre’s school plans were put on hold, while he helped their dad take care of them. It wasn’t long before Gabriel sent them all off to Portland, Oregon (where he was originally from), and it's where they’ve lived ever since. It was then that he got into drugs, and he's sad to say that he's tried a little bit of everything. Leon is still as close to his sister as ever, but his mother’s leaving hit him pretty hard. He pretends she doesn’t exist, because to him, she doesn’t anymore. Leo's been clean from drugs for about 14 months (he was sold out by the son of his supplier), and within that time, he's gotten a girl pregnant, lost his dad, fretted through the birth of his daughter, got into college, and even managed to land a job as the assistant coach at the high school. He's working hard to prove to himself that he can grow up and be there for his baby mama and their darling little girl. So far, he's been doing great, with more than a few speed bumps to try and throw him off. Speed bumps such as his mother appearing, a handful of fights with Katie, a time period in which he did nothing but mope, and people from his past appearing. How long will it be before Leo finally breaks under all the pressure? BEHIND THE MASK ALIAS Ducky! AGE ancient, yo! Had he been sleeping on his bed, Leo would've automatically reached for the person that, usually, would be beside him, but after kicking Katie out of the apartment, Leo hadn't been able to bring himself to go into the room they had shared. Even now, just thinking about it...his heart hurt and he felt as if he was going to be sick as his mind played through memories so fresh, each scene that played was like a knife to his already shattered heart. "Dude, she cheated on you." Leo had been out eating lunch when his best friend, Jordan, had told him this. "Nah. There's no way. She loves me, bro. She isn't going to cheat on me." Leon could see a muscle in his friends jaw move as Jordan clenched his teeth, something he did only when he was words away from giving Leo a very much needed slap to the back of his head. "Dammit Leo. Listen to me. Katie fucking cheated on you." Leo had just stared at him, even as the color began to drain from his face. "Please tell me you're just screwing with me, Jojo. It'd be fucked up, but I could take it." And from the look on his friend's face, Leo knew that this was no joke, but it still took Jordan saying, "I'm not shitting you. Elijah was in the shop bragging about it." And just like that, all of Leo's denial that Katie would cheat on him flew out the window. Jordan worked with the guy, and Katie and Elijah had been spending a lot of time together, ever since their last fight. Leon had groaned as he pitched his head forward, into his hands. "What am I going to do, man?" there was a small pause and then Leo sat back in his chair, holding up a hand. "On second thought. Don't say anything. I need to figure this out for myself." Leo had stayed away from the apartment for as long as he could, ignoring calls and text from everyone. He didn't want to talk, didn't need to, he needed to figure out just what the hell he was going to do. Leo knew in his heart, what was left of it, that there was no way he'd be able to trust Katie after this. After everything he'd done for her, everything they'd been through, she'd throw it all away and sleep with some kid that was probably going to leave her within the month. And with those thoughts, Leo got angry. Who the hell was this guy to come into their lives and screw up what he had? Who was this asshole to ruin the relationship he had with Katie? And most of all? Why? Why had Katie done it? It hadn't taken him long before he'd gone home, a little after Kora was usually put to bed, and it had only taken one look at Leo for Katie to know that he knew. He could tell that she felt guilty about it, but right at that moment, Leo was way past feeling sympathy for her. The only one who'd gotten the short end of the stick in this situation was Leo, and he'd be damned if he'd let himself soften because she felt guilty. Not when she had been the one to cheat on him. Most of the night was a blur, he could only remember bits and pieces. The fighting, the tears...some of the words, mostly the ones that he had said, and there had been a lot of them. But there were a bit that stood out from all the others. "I believed you, Katie. Believed you when you said you wouldn't do this to me, because you loved me. I trusted you. I fucking loved you. And now...I don't know what to feel when it comes to you." He remembered how his voice had started shaking, and the deep breath he'd had to take to steady it. "I'm not one of the high school boys willing to be toyed with and then come back for more, I'm not. And I won't be." He had swallowed hard, willing silently for his voice not to shake and for the tears burning his eyes to not fall. Not yet. "Katie...This isn't something I can just forget about. It's...It's going to take time. And I don't know how much. I-I need you to go." The words had been so hard for him to say. His heart didn't want this. Didn't want her to go. He wanted to wrap her in his arms, hear her promise him that it'd never happen again, that she loved Kora, that she loved him, but Leo knew it couldn't be that easy. He heard her try to dissuade him, heard every word that left her lips, but he hardened his heart and said one of the hardest things he'd ever had to say. "Get out, Katie." He couldn't even look her in the eyes when he said, knowing that if he took even a second's look he would be lost, and he'd give into her, letting her stay, saying that they'd work things out. He refused to let himself do that, because he honestly didn't know if they'd work things out. He'd watched her pack a bag of her things, watched her kiss Kora goodbye, and when she walked out the door, his heart had broken even more, something he hadn't thought possible. Leo dragged a hand over his face, taking in his surroundings as he heard Kora start crying. His covers were on the floor, probably kicked off while he tossed in turned in what little sleep he had managed to get. Kora's loud cries seemed louder in the silence that seemed to encompass the apartment, and Leo yearned to have Katie back, to go back before the fights and to stop them from happening. Maybe that would've kept Katie from cheating...Never before had Leo felt the way he did now, at least not to this magnitude. For the first time ever, Leo felt completely alone. As Leo got out of bed and headed towards his daughter's nursery, his brain spun with one thought after another. How had things gone so wrong? Everything had been going perfectly. He had been happy, absolutely, irrevocably happy with his life, with his relationship with Katie, and with the small family that he had with her and their daughter. He hadn't had a regret about anything in a while, hadn't questioned anything that had happened, for once feeling as though everything was finally going to be okay, and then all hell had broken loose. Of course it had. His life was a train wreck at best, and he wasn't feeling as if it was going to ever get any better. Why should it? He'd lived through all kinds of crap already, might as well keep it coming. Hell. Leo couldn't even begin to understand why he wanted to stay on the island after everything. Maybe it was because to him, it was home. Or maybe it was because he still had a soft spot for a certain blonde with hazel eyes that haunted his every waking thought even after she'd succeeded in breaking him. He knew he'd never be able to take Kora completely away from her mother. Katie loved Kora, that much Leo knew for sure. Everything else when it came to Katie...well, he felt as if he didn't even know the woman he'd been sharing his bed with for the past while. As he reached the nursery, Leo walked towards his daughter, taking note of the hint of sunlight that had begun to peak through the curtains. He picked Kora up, cradling her in his arms as he searched for her bear to quiet her cries. He found it in her crib, beneath her tiny blanket. As he sat down in the rocking chair, holding Kora in one hand and the bear in another, he said what he usually did to the little child. “Shhh…Daddy’s here, Kora, honey.” And just like that, the tears started to fall. Leo hugged his daughter close, pressing a kiss to her small forehead, realizing that at the moment, she was the only connection to the woman he still couldn’t help but love. He feared that even that wouldn’t be enough to save their relationship. He just didn’t know what he was going to do. |
