UPBEAT/POSITIVE/EASY GOING jake is very upbeat, happy. often coming with energetic behavior and such. he likes to keep a positive outlook on things so he'll tend to joke around for those purposes. he's just always so cheerful and it isn't in that big-ball-of-sunshine-innocent way. honestly, once he's having a good time and laughing, he can't stop and that makes people laugh even more, you get the picture right? jake doesn't like to make huge deals about everything, it's just a waste of energy. it always helps to keep a calm attitude, especially in times of trouble where having an easy going, calm attitude is the most beneficial. HOLDS EVERYTHING IN/ALCOHOLIC the thing with jacoby is that he wants to help everyone, but he doesn't want to be helped in return. he feels like they'd only be doing it to repay him or because he's an air force officer and they feel the need to respect him. he's also gotten a little more suspicious of people over time, so he holds everything in for those purposes and it really isn't the healthiest thing. he drinks to cope with his problems which he refuses to let anyone help him with. he knows it's bad, he just can't let anyone help him, you could say he's proud, but it's not so much about he's not capable of helping himself, because he is. it's about the reasons why people would want to help him in the first place. STUBBORN/OPINIONATED/QUESTIONING he's really stubborn and it's hard for him to change old habits. he does follow orders however, which is why he's here in the first place; he's just stubborn in most other cases. he's opinionated, often voicing those opinions no matter what the consequences would be. this tends really irks the higher up officers to no end, but they can't do anything about it because jacoby is an asset. jacoby is questioning, he HAS to know what he's doing and why. this has definitely strained relationships with officers in the air force, but then again, the military doesn't want everyone to be going into fights and battles and wars blindly. HISTORY MOTHER lillian jane chase (nee foster) FATHER franklin matthew chase BROTHERS kinsler avery chase SISTERS n/a PETS benny, german shepard OTHER first middle last, relation THE STORY Jacoby was born on a cold December morning in a small town about 22 miles from the Oregon/California border line, this is where his parents had met and fell in love. The town was a nice little town, perfect for raising kids; however, the town had lost it’s quaint feel before Jacoby learned how to talk and make friends, so leaving wasn’t a big deal. The family moved to a more populated city in California next, spending a couple of years in San Francisco and Sacramento. California didn’t live up to all the hype, and taxes were getting higher and higher every year. With that motivation, they decided to move up to Portland, Oregon. Jacoby was nine years old at the time, he still had a lot of time to make good friends before middle and high school started. Jacoby was a relatively quiet guy, who had kept to himself most of the time all through out middle school. Despite his quiet nature, he was very ambitious, as well as adventurous. Jacoby’s father was a commercial pilot working for a small company, a little more than half the year he was home and the other half was spent flying to places around the world delivering goods. This is where Jacoby’s love of flying stemmed from and he pursued that dream, learning the very basics of flying from his father and he taught himself the rest. During high school Jacoby spent his time trying to pass his classes and be able to graduate, he was more open, a likeable guy and easy to get along with. He was one of the few minority to just completely screw the whole high school hierarchy and be friends with whoever he wanted. By his senior year he had his fair share of enemies, most of them among the popular clique and was known for his opinionated ideals, not to mention his stubbornness which was often called pride. Jacoby had no idea what he wanted to do later on in life, following in his father’s footsteps was hardly exciting enough for the all too adventurous teenager. He had reached a solution to his problem when a representative of the U.S. Air force came to school one day in hopes of recruiting new people. Jacoby enlisted into the U.S. Air Force as soon as he graduated from high school, eager to get out into the world and experience adventure. For Jacoby, it wasn’t so much about fighting for his country, although that was part of it, it was about being up in the air mostly, experience the world from a different view and under different circumstances. He had reached the rank of First Lieutenant (1st Lt) in a little over two years in the Air Force and he’s proved to be a great asset for his country. During his time in the Air Force he’s become hardened, more guarded towards people having experienced many hardships while over seas. He isn’t stupid to be drinking while he’s on duty, but whenever they are allowed to have a break he’s been known to get pretty drunk and becoming erratic while under the influence. It’s reached to the point between being ‘not as much a problem’ to, ‘this is getting to be a huge problem’ for everyone. For this reason he’s been allowed a leave for as long as he needs to find help, otherwise risk being discharged under a less than honorable account despite all his contributions to the Air Force. He’s decided to come back home to ‘find’ himself again and save his reputation as well as his career. BEHIND THE MASK ALIAS ash (me ish back!) AGE 16 EXPERIENCE 6 years FOUND US i forget CODE WORD picture perfect OTHER CHARACTERS none ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE He could see the frown on her face, he no longer wished she would believe what he told her, it was selfish to still want to be with her after what he did. Right there on the spot he made a promise that he’d never ask anything of her, especially not the one thing he most desperately wanted. It was killing him inside, or what was left of him really. It worse than any kind of thirst, it may have seemed impossible, but Dom knew firsthand it was true to feel that way. In hindsight, he always knew it could never had happened in the first place, even if she did agree to that plan, he wouldn’t have been able to go through with it. Emotions were so complicated, he wished things didn’t have to be this way. “I don’t know Gemma, I wish I knew, but I don’t.” Dominic sighed. He could feel the aching deep inside him, the confused look on her face made it ache even more. He screwed things up so badly he couldn’t even tell what was the worst part about it all because it was all just one big ball of extreme badness. If it was only that easy, then again, if it were everyone would have gotten what they wanted. She was probably thinking how could he have been attracted to her, she had only been a human. He liked to believe some part of him was still human, he was capable of feeling love, so some small part must have been human, right? It was a small hope that burned bright, an idea that made him want to keep going, and up until he saw Gemma, he thought he’d rather want to kill himself than be the thing he is now. It was ironic how he thought of it, she was a savior, yet he couldn’t save her. He thought she was going to yell at him, just completely lose it at this point, but her words, they hit him like a sledgehammer. Her voice was filled with confusion, sounded hurt as she said them, “You shouldn’t have left me,” This was the hardest part of all, confronting your demons, confronting the person who changed your whole life, whether you thought that was for the worse or for better, it was your own opinion. It couldn’t have been easy for her to wake up alone, he knew what that felt like, yet he did the exact same thing as Alex. In some ways, he was just as bad as everyone one else. It hurt to listen, to hear for himself how much he had hurt her in the worst possible way. “You should have taken care of me when I woke up!” The sick, really twisted part of him enjoyed the pain he felt when she punched him, good, you deserved that dom. That little voice told him knowingly in his head. “You should have been there to me from..from.” This really hit him hard, oh god, why had he been such an idiot? She was right, he should’ve been there, he should’ve been there so that she didn’t hurt anyone. He knew, he killed his mother, his only parent, a women he had an undying love for. He wanted to push all the memories back, stop them from flooding his mind, stop them from overwhelming him with this sudden onslaught of emotion, sadness, guilt, pain. “You’re right Gemma, I should have been there,” His voice was so quiet, broken. “I should have been there to protect you from hurting anyone, anyone close to you.” He looked away from her, if it were possible for him to cry, he would be, but all he could feel was the urge to cry, the tightness in his throat, but they would never come. Both of them had been left, they had to cope for themselves, abandoned, lost. It all had a consequence, but rarely did the creators ever pay that price, it was always the victim who did. In another life, he could have had a family, had kids, had been able to ask Gemma to marry him, gone about this under completely different circumstances. That life had been long gone, it was never coming back. |
