I'M SO GLAD YOU MADE IT HERE TODAY, BUT I'VE SEEM TO FORGOTTEN WHAT YOUR NAME WAS, IT WAS PAT... OR SOMETHING, RIGHT? NO, WELL, WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME IT THEN? FIRST, MIDDLE AND LAST, PLEASE. OH, AND PLEASE DO TELL ME ANY SCRUMPTIOUS NICKNAMES." Wynn walked into the small room and perched on the edge of the waiting stool. He wasn't really sure why he was doing this but the guy had asked him nicely and he was pretty cute. "Thanks for having me, my name is Wynn Theodore Duncan but you can call me Wynn." "I HAVE TO SAY, THAT'S QUITE A NAME YOU GOT THERE. I DON'T THINK I'VE HEARD IT BEFORE. TELL ME, HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED IN PORTLAND OR HAVE YOU COME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE?" Wynn smiled at the boy and continued talking with confidence. "I'm from Portland born and raised. It's not that exciting but it's alright." Wynn played with a his hair absently. "As for my name, well my parents are what you could call hippies." "OH, I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. HERE, LET'S LIGHTEN UP THE TOPIC A LITTLE BIT. OUT OF ALL OF THE WORDS IN THE WORLD, WHICH FIVE DESCRIBE YOU BEST AND WHY?" Wynn chuckled. "I'm not uncomfortable at all, don't even worry about it." He smiled reassuringly "Five traits? OK, sure, to start I guess I'll go with happy! I'm a really cheerful person and I don't like to be around people who try to bring everyone down. I don't understand why people chose to be so pessimistic, seems like a waste of time to me." Wynn knew that his cheerful demeanor could be a little over bearing so he tried not to overwhelm the poor boy. "For number two I'm going to say creative. I don't want to sound cocky but I am proud of my creativity. I'm a singer, song writer and that takes a bit of free thinking." Wynn ran his tongue over his lip piercing. It was a habit of his that he did when he was thinking about something. "I'm also really compassionate. I tend to feel what other people around me are feeling which helps when I'm writing. People have the tendency to come to me with problems because I can relate and help them out." He realized that he had only been focusing on the positives and decided to throw in a few negatives. "I don't want you to think I'm cocky though so I won't keep going on about the positives. I'm a really stubborn person which can be really annoying. If i think something is right than I can sometimes block other people out although I try not to." Wynn bit down gently on his lip as he tried to think of one more characteristic. " I like to think that I'm a really genuine person who doesn't try to change to fit in. I've known people who get caught up in the popularity thing and it bums me out to see them change themselves. I l like to stay true to who I am and I think I do." "I'M NOT GOING TO LIE. YOU SEEM LIKE QUITE THE CATCH. I'M SURE YOU'RE ALWAYS BUSY, HUH? DO YOU LIKE WATCHING TELEVISION OR KNITTING? WHY DON'T YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?" Wynn laughed and shook his head. "Knitting? not really my thing although I did try it once." Wynn smiled as he thought back to the day when his twin sister had tried to teach him how to turn loose pieces of easily knotted yarn into hats. " I do however love to play guitar and sing. I play a few other instruments too but guitar is my favorite. Piano is probably my second favorite because my little sister loves it." "YOU SOUND PRETTY FEARLESS, BUT THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING YOU'RE AFRAID OF. ANY JUICY SECRETS?" Wynn tried not to look to uncomfortable at the rather personal question. "Umm, secret? I don't really know to be honest with you and if i told you if wouldn't be secret anymore." He shifted in his seat slightly "As for fear...I'm afraid that my little sister won't be able to beat cancer again." His voice became quiet as he said the last sentence and he blinked rapidly to keep the tears from falling. "DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY, BUT ARE YOU GAY? I MEAN, IT WASN'T SOMETHING YOU SAID OR ANYTHING. I'M JUST A CURIOUS OLD BADGER. UM. WHAT DO YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE? IS THAT BETTER? I GUESS YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO." His sadness soon evaporated as he heard the question and he couldn't keep himself from laughing. "Let's get one thing straight, I'm not." he smiled. " I'm 100% gay and proud of it, I've been out of the closet since I was four. As for my taste in men, I tend to fall for the really out going type. I don't like dating guys who are super closeted because it never ends well. I want them to be confident with who they are. Looks take a backseat to that, I'm into all kinds of guys although athletes are pretty hot." "ALRIGHT, ENOUGH WITH THE HEAVY STUFF. LET'S TALK ABOUT... MUSIC. I THINK YOU MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT POP OR HIP HOP EARLIER. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE? RAP, COUNTRY, JAZZ? WHAT ARE YOUR TOP FIVE MOST PLAYED SONGS ON ITUNES?" Wynn's eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite topic, music. "I listen to a lot of music and a lot of different genres. I try not to close myself into a box with only one style. I think there is a situation for ever different kind of music although bubble gum pop is a little too much for me." Wynn wrinkled his nose at the thought of main stream teen radio "A few of my personal favorites right now are tonight tonight by Hot Chele Ray, Wonderwall by Oasis, Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding, Young and Stupid by Hedley and my all time favorite, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen." "LISTENING TO MUSIC LIKE THAT? YOU'RE SURE TO BE A STAR IN THE NEAR FUTURE. YOU SEEM LIKE A WELL-ROUNDED YOUNG PERSON, MY DEAR. WHERE DO YOU FIND YOURSELF TO BE IN FIVE YEARS FROM NOW?" "This may sound stupid but I really want to have a career playing music. I know it isn't exactly realistic but its what I love." "IF IT MEANS ANYTHING, I'LL BE ROOTING FOR YOU WHEN THE TIME COMES. I'M SURE YOUR PARENTS WILL TOO. SPEAKING OF YOUR PARENTS, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US THEIR NAMES AND WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM! DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS, PETS, OTHER RELATIVES?" Wynn smiled when his family was mentioned. He was really close with both his parents and his siblings. "My family is pretty fantastic. My parents get along and there's never been a threat of divorce even when Lily got sick. They say that illness can tear families apart but it brought mine even closer together. I have two siblings, my twin sister Willow and my baby sister Lily. Like I said before, My ten tear old sister is sick. She was first diagnosed with Leukemia when she was six years old. She fought it for a long two years and went into remission. We thought it was gone until a few months ago when the familiar bruises came back. She has to spend most of her time in the hospital so our family works around that. Willow and I are really close and sometimes i think we might share a brain. My parents thought it would be cute to name us Wynn and Willow because they sound alike. it sounds cheesy but it suits us." Wynn took a breath and began again. "My parents are pretty big hippies although they don't wear hemp and smoke weed. They are very nature oriented though and very open minded as well. When i was a kid I always remember knowing that I liked boys and so did they. It was always just a fact that both Willow and I are were going to find our prince charming some day. I have two dogs and a cat. I have a pug named Artie, A Pomeranian named Francesca and a cat named Henry." "OH, I SEE. WELL, WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. WHY DON'T WE WRAP THIS UP WITH YOUR STORY? HOW DID YOU END UP IN PORTLAND, OREGON?" Wynn couldn't help that wave of relief he felt. It felt like he had been sitting on the little wooden stool for ages now. "My story isn't all that complicated but I suppose I should start with my parents. My dad's name is Andrew and my mom's name is Marcy. They were pretty much hippies and they met at a protest. They claim it was love at first sight but I'm not so sure i I believe in that stuff. Anyway they were married only six months after they met and my sister and I were born a year later. I guess we were happy babies although that would change on a dime if we were separated. We've always been extremely close and that still hasn't changed. We grew up attached at the hip. She was the person I came out to when I was four. Everyone already knew I was gay but I felt the need to announce it for some reason." Wynn chuckled as he remembered that day. "When were were six our little sister Lily was born. She was the troublesome child and had health issues right at the beginning. Everything seemed alright after a year though and my parents were relieved. We lived like a normal family for the following five years until we heard the most devastating news. Lily had Leukemia. Treatments began instantly and her two year battle began. That was a really hard time but we remained strong as a family. When the doctors announced that Lily had won her battle we were all thrilled. Life went back to normal until the next year when the cancer came back." Wynn had to stop for a moment to keep himself from crying. "That happened a few months ago and now Lily's fighting again. She's a fighter and we're hoping she'll be strong enough to beat this again." ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE YOU CAN'T MAKE ME MADDIE, FROM THE WOMB, SPACE, MOD EDIT |
