I'M SO GLAD YOU MADE IT HERE TODAY, BUT I'VE SEEM TO FORGOTTEN WHAT YOUR NAME WAS, IT WAS PAT... OR SOMETHING, RIGHT? NO, WELL, WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME IT THEN? FIRST, MIDDLE AND LAST, PLEASE. OH, AND PLEASE DO TELL ME ANY SCRUMPTIOUS NICKNAMES." Adrian shifted awkwardy in the uncomfortable chair, a cocky smile planted across her lips. '' Pat? Hell no. Like I would let my mom name me Pat, ha. It's Adrian, actually. Adrian Day Jaros. No nicknames though, if Adrian is too hard for you to say then you're obviously beyond lazy. ''. "I HAVE TO SAY, THAT'S QUITE A NAME YOU GOT THERE. I DON'T THINK I'VE HEARD IT BEFORE. TELL ME, HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED IN PORTLAND OR HAVE YOU COME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE?" Her gaze would be distant, as if remembering her past life was semi-difficult. '' Well, I was born in Detroit. But after a huge operation went wrong, my dad packed up the family and we moved here. I've lived here since I was seven. '' "OH, I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. HERE, LET'S LIGHTEN UP THE TOPIC A LITTLE BIT. OUT OF ALL OF THE WORDS IN THE WORLD, WHICH FIVE DESCRIBE YOU BEST AND WHY?" '' And, I need to tell you about me because why? '' She gave an irritated groan, upper lip pulling back in a snarl. '' I'm definately trustworthy |

"I'M NOT GOING TO LIE. YOU SEEM LIKE QUITE THE CATCH. I'M SURE YOU'RE ALWAYS BUSY, HUH? DO YOU LIKE WATCHING TELEVISION OR KNITTING? WHY DON'T YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?"
'' Knitting, definately. '' Adrian rolled her eyes some, gaze focused on the floor- uninterested in talking about herself. '' I like dancing, no, I love dancing. So many different ways to express yourself during dance- and it's the one thing that hasn't let me down thus far. '' A slow shrug rolled off her shoulders, bored of the topic. '' I like drugs, because they can take me away from reality and make my life not look like a total shit hole. I absolutely hate getting to know people, but sex is a-okay. Sex means nothing, because we can easily cut everything off after that one day. But allowing somebody to come in to your life and be labeled as a friend? They'll be there forever. I guess.. it's the fact I don't like letting people go. If you enter my heart, you're there to stay. But eh. I played hockey and volleyball for awhile back in Detroit, but I've been uneligble to join any Fall sports because of an.. innocent with another girl. And it's not like they have hockey up here, so why bother? '' My dad has money, so I guess I like shopping.. but hanging out with the 'girlfriends' at the mall is a definate no-no.
"YOU SOUND PRETTY FEARLESS, BUT THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING YOU'RE AFRAID OF. ANY JUICY SECRETS?"
'' I think my biggest fear would be that my father is everything he says he's not. Like, his whole life is just one big lie. '' She pulled a cigarette from her pocket, lighting it. '' Secret? I get straight As. '' A sly smirk would appear on her face.
"DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY, BUT ARE YOU GAY? I MEAN, IT WASN'T SOMETHING YOU SAID OR ANYTHING. I'M JUST A CURIOUS OLD BADGER. UM. WHAT DO YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE? IS THAT BETTER? I GUESS YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO."
' Gay? Probably. I like girls, I like sex with girls. But I like sex with just about anything human, so I guess that rules out homosexual. Maybe bisexual, because I like anything with pretty eyes and nice hands. Muscular guys? Hot. But I don't need a total jock head on me all hours of the day. Bad boys and rebellious girls? Now that's kinky shit. But as far as preferences go, I can do anything but the populars. That's just .. revolting. ''
"ALRIGHT, ENOUGH WITH THE HEAVY STUFF. LET'S TALK ABOUT... MUSIC. I THINK YOU MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT POP OR HIP HOP EARLIER. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE? RAP, COUNTRY, JAZZ? WHAT ARE YOUR TOP FIVE MOST PLAYED SONGS ON ITUNES?"
''She ran a hand through the blond locks, her eyes focusing on the interveiwer's with legit interest. '' Music? I can listen to anything. Break my heart and I'll go crying to Taylor Swift. ACDC is a definate must when making love, or just hanging out. So if you asked me to pick a specific genre, I'd have to go with rock 'n roll- baby. Barracuda, Heart takes first place. Honey bee, Tom Petty. School's out, Alice Cooper. We're Not Gonna Take It, Twister Sisters and Kashmir, Led Zeppelin. ''
"LISTENING TO MUSIC LIKE THAT? YOU'RE SURE TO BE A STAR IN THE NEAR FUTURE. YOU SEEM LIKE A WELL-ROUNDED YOUNG PERSON, MY DEAR. WHERE DO YOU FIND YOURSELF TO BE IN FIVE YEARS FROM NOW?"
'' I'd like to be a professional dancer when I become an adult, or atleast make it to college without getting pregnant- ha. ''
"IF IT MEANS ANYTHING, I'LL BE ROOTING FOR YOU WHEN THE TIME COMES. I'M SURE YOUR PARENTS WILL TOO. SPEAKING OF YOUR PARENTS, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US THEIR NAMES AND WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM! DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS, PETS, OTHER RELATIVES?"
A disgusted look appeared on her face, she enjoyed talking about herself more than her humiliating family. '' Adelle Lee Jones is my mom, Adrian Alec Jaros is my dad. And as for siblings, I have four brothers. Cayne Jay Jaros- he's twenty four, Conner Lee Jaros who is nineteen, Henry Austin Jaros is .. fourteen now? And Cameron Cade Jaros- he's seven. No pets, though. I can hardly take care of my room let alone an animal.
"OH, I SEE. WELL, WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. WHY DON'T WE WRAP THIS UP WITH YOUR STORY? HOW DID YOU END UP IN PORTLAND, OREGON?"
Adrian's glare immediately hardened, words like venom. '' I was born in Detroit, lived there for a whole seven years. My family hadn't been rich at the start, my father was merely a mailman when I was born. My mother was a painter, and a dancer. But things started getting rough when they had me, because they'd already had two growing boys whom they could hardly take responsibility for- and now they had me. Times were rough, and we were really hurting because of the economy. I guess I can't fully blame my dad for what he did .. he was only a desperate man trying to save his family. At first it'd started with simple plants that he grew, and then few customers would come buy. But .. his drug business seemed to sky rocket in the next two years. He was selling in and out of the United States, drug busts never a big problem. His clients weren't necessarily clean, but he never really had trouble with many of them. My family was living the high life, buying only the fanciest of things. But the money started taking a toll on our personalities. The mother I loved became a bitter woman, craving the latest and greatest in fashion. My brothers were running around with guns.. bringing friends over that looked at me with the most explicit stares. And then when my father went out one night.. you know, to unload the hundreds of crates something went wrong. The buyers had cheated him, and it became a robbery within minutes. Father had body guards, and I guess they're to thank for him surviving. But .. then we moved, because my mother was too scared to stay in that city. Too many people wanted my father dead, his head mounted on their wall. So we fled, to Oregon.. ''
