I'M SO GLAD YOU MADE IT HERE TODAY, BUT I'VE SEEM TO FORGOTTEN WHAT YOUR NAME WAS, IT WAS PAT... OR SOMETHING, RIGHT? NO, WELL, WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME IT THEN? FIRST, MIDDLE AND LAST, PLEASE. OH, AND PLEASE DO TELL ME ANY SCRUMPTIOUS NICKNAMES." The tall girl smiled her crooked smile, letting her name roll off of her lips in almost a purr. "Keira Sierra Collard. Yes, Collard. Of course you've heard of me, and my parents, i'm sure." She ran her hand though her hair, looking to the interviewer. "Just Keira." "I HAVE TO SAY, THAT'S QUITE A NAME YOU GOT THERE. I DON'T THINK I'VE HEARD IT BEFORE. TELL ME, HAVE YOU ALWAYS LIVED IN PORTLAND OR HAVE YOU COME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE?" The girl pursed her lips as she neatly tucked back a loose curl. "You're kidding right?" She paused, expecting an answer, and when she didn't receive one she rolled her eyes slightly. "You must live under a rock or something. Either way, yes, I was born and raised here in Portland. I lived with my parents until graduated, then moved out to start my career." "OH, I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. HERE, LET'S LIGHTEN UP THE TOPIC A LITTLE BIT. OUT OF ALL OF THE WORDS IN THE WORLD, WHICH FIVE DESCRIBE YOU BEST AND WHY?" "Well, I suppose some would say full of myself, but my word would be confident. I take charge where it's needed, and I am not afraid to say what I want to say. I know who I am, and i'm not afraid to show it. A big personality, I suppose. A personality that I hold well." Keira smiled, leaning back in the chair and crossing her legs and leaning back. A smile slipped over her glossy lips as the mans eyes couldn't help but skim over her raising skirt. "Hmm, what else. I suppose I can be a bit of a flirt |
"I would call myself determined or driven. When a goal is set, i do everything in my power to accomplish that. It worked well for me in school, had me graduate with wonderful marks, and thats how i'm already on the path to my career. I don't let myself fall behind or get left behind. I move forward. I suppose it can be tiring at time, but i can pop a Aletec and not have to worry about it."
"I'm a generally outgoing person, I get along well with others and I'm not afraid to start a conversation with someone. I'm not that wallflower girl who waits for people to talk to me, oh no. Not me. If I want to talk to you, i'll talk to you. And usually, people want to talk to me too."

"I'M NOT GOING TO LIE. YOU SEEM LIKE QUITE THE CATCH. I'M SURE YOU'RE ALWAYS BUSY, HUH? DO YOU LIKE WATCHING TELEVISION OR KNITTING? WHY DON'T YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?"
"Hobbies, as in spare time? I don't have much of it, but I do like to sit down and read a book. I got into reading when I was young, and it's the perfect thing to pass the time. It takes me away and teaches me new things, too. Of course, I enjoy the normal girl things too, like tv and the computer. I spend a lot of my time exercising, I had to keep thin, so you will often find me running around town. "
"I like many things, boys, friends, partying, modelling, photography, fashion, books, piano music, running, shopping,
Keira flipped her hair, raising her eyebrows to the interviewer. "I have many strengths, my confidence, my looks, just me. I am strong. And weaknesses? I could tell you, but then i'd have to kill you."
"YOU SOUND PRETTY FEARLESS, BUT THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING YOU'RE AFRAID OF. ANY JUICY SECRETS?"
Keira rose her brows, pulling herself forward in the chair, a sharp look moved into her eyes. "None that I would share with you, good try, though." Her Biggest Secret was something she would not share, not with this stranger or with her little sister. The Model Business was a place for secrets to be made, especially when your agent wants more that just your money. But how else was she supposed to get on top? Her body was something she had to sacrifice more than once.
Fear, on the other had, was a weakness, and Keira isn't the girl to give up her weaknesses. Fear was something that could be used to bring her down, and that is what she was most afraid of. Being on the bottom. Being laughed at, made fun of, being less than perfect. She had to be perfect. She was perfect.
"DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY, BUT ARE YOU GAY? I MEAN, IT WASN'T SOMETHING YOU SAID OR ANYTHING. I'M JUST A CURIOUS OLD BADGER. UM. WHAT DO YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE? IS THAT BETTER? I GUESS YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO."
"Oh, I'm straight, but i've been around.." She smiled, giving the interviewer a wink. She loved how easy it was to make him uncomfortable. "Well, guys who are taller than me, which isn't the easiest to find, seeing as I am 5'9. Boys with long hair are sexy, usually means they're dangerous, chilled, or they just don't give a fuck. I'm not too picky, really. They just have to win me over, which isn't the easiest."
"ALRIGHT, ENOUGH WITH THE HEAVY STUFF. LET'S TALK ABOUT... MUSIC. I THINK YOU MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT POP OR HIP HOP EARLIER. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE? RAP, COUNTRY, JAZZ? WHAT ARE YOUR TOP FIVE MOST PLAYED SONGS ON ITUNES?"
"Music, well, let's see... As odd as it is, I find a lot of relaxation in classical music, it's good for the mind and the soul. Classical piano is fantastic. I'm not one for heavy hip hop music or anything like that, if i'm going to listen to something other than classical it's usually piano heavy music, or very rich vocals, you know? Like.. Adele, or Sara Bareilles."
"LISTENING TO MUSIC LIKE THAT? YOU'RE SURE TO BE A STAR IN THE NEAR FUTURE. YOU SEEM LIKE A WELL-ROUNDED YOUNG PERSON, MY DEAR. WHERE DO YOU FIND YOURSELF TO BE IN FIVE YEARS FROM NOW?"
Keria sat up, getting ready to tell a story she's told many times before, usually to agents or to the people at casting calls. "Ever since I was little, i've wanted to be seen. Mom had me put through a few pageants when I was younger, and I won every single one i went in. After I outgrew the pageants, I began to set my sights on being a model. I had the looks, as i was told often, and I was lucky enough to meet Xavier Hunter, an agent who was looking for a fresh face. He liked mine. I'm now on the road to becoming a top model. My ultimate dream...? Vogue. "
"IF IT MEANS ANYTHING, I'LL BE ROOTING FOR YOU WHEN THE TIME COMES. I'M SURE YOUR PARENTS WILL TOO. SPEAKING OF YOUR PARENTS, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US THEIR NAMES AND WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM! DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS, PETS, OTHER RELATIVES?"
"Again, you must be an idiot for not knowing who i am. Anyways, My mom is Brooke Caroline Collard, my Dad is James Alec Collard, and I have a younger sister named Victoria Alayna Collard. My parents own a business, my sister is still in highschool, and thats about it. I don't live with them anymore, and even when I did, there wasn't much of a relationship with the fam. Parents are successful, which means they were never home much. Vicky and I used to be close... Guess things change. No, things don't change, I did. But for the better. Anyways, yeah. Thats my family. I've got a kitten named Chester, he's my little tabby, and I just adore him. He's the man in my life. "
"OH, I SEE. WELL, WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. WHY DON'T WE WRAP THIS UP WITH YOUR STORY? HOW DID YOU END UP IN PORTLAND, OREGON?"
"Like I said before, I was born here in portland. I had a good childhood, my parents were home a bit more often when we (my sister and I) were younger. Life was good. When we were little, my sister and I were very close, thought of course with me being older I moved on fast, I had friends and boys and popularity to worry about, not time for my little baby sister. Especially when Highschool hit. Of course, with my wealthy upbringing, popularity somewhat came to me. It was easy for me to work my way to the top. Everyone loved me, and everyone wanted to be me, and the boys wanted to be with me. It was a good time, highschool.
After graduation, I was well on my way to my career. I had found an agent, it was just by chance that he had dated my mom when she was younger, and he was ready to take me to the top. It started with low budget photos, most without pay, just to get my portfolio started and my face out there. It took some time, but more photographers began to contact Xavier and I was booked more often. Thats when I started going to the 'go-sees', meeting with designers and companies, walking for them and showing them what I was made of. It's worked out well for me, i've done a few shows, some for lingerie, some for high fashion, some just hair or makeup. Xavier has even been talking about commercials! I'm still with him, faithfully, and with my parents support of course. They helped me move out and pay my rent, and they help me any other way i need, really. having wealthy parents is a bonus."
Of course, there was the other side to her modelling career that she would never bring up. The darker side. The memories chilled her, stripping for a photographer and letting him take her, just so he would take her pictures. Xavier, of course, was insisting that this was the only way to get to the top, and she was so desperate to be successful that she let it happen whenever it had to.
